AccuPoint insulin pen needles reduce the risk of accidentally injecting insulin into the muscle instead of the fat just under the skin, or subcutaneous fat. USAGE

• Remove the peel tab from the outer shield and push the needle straight onto the pen and twist until it is tight;
• Pull off the protective shield carefully and keep it for removing the used needle from the pen;
• You have to always inspect the flow before you begin to inject so as to ensure you get your full dose of insulin.

FAQS

Can I reuse my insulin pen needles?
No. They are meant only for a single use; anything other than that is in direct violation with FDA rules and regulations. Reusing needles dramatically increases the chances of spreading blood-borne diseases such as HIV, AIDS or Hepatitis.
Can I sterilize my insulin pen needle and THEN reuse it?
No. See question above.
Why is the needle so short?
Unlike most shots, insulin only needs to go into the subcutaneous layer of the skin, which is the layer of fat directly under the dermal layer. Most shots are administered into the muscular tissue and thus require longer needles.
